The artwork by Tony Theobald depicts German paratroops in the Low Countries during 1940 and below Winston Churchill with part of his memo to General Hastings on 22 June 1940 which states 'We should have a corps of at least five thousand parachute troops... Pray let me have a note on the subject'
The cover bears 15p definitive stamp which is cancelled with BFPS 2240 postmark for the Golden Jubilee of the Airbourne Forces 22 June 1990. Cover was parachuted by members of the Parachute Regiment Display Team into Rushmoor Arena, Aldershot on Airborne Forces Day 7th July 1990 in the presence of HRH The Prince of Wales Colonel-in-Chief of The Parachute Regiment
