2000 FDC featuring the stamps from the Water and Coast issue of the Millennium Stamps

Cover depicts scenes from 1943 which included THE BATTLE OF THE ATLANTIC and THE END OF THE U-BOATS May 1943, THE SICILIAN CAMPAIGN 10 July - 17 August 1943 OPERATION CHASTISE - The Ruhr 16/17 May 1943 where Lancasters of 617 Squadron took part in the raid which named them Dambusters.

Cover also depicts Pacific Star which was awarded for operational Service in the Pacific theatre of War from 8th December 1941 to 15 August 1945. Service with the Royal and Merchant navies in the Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean and South China Sea and service in these areas also qualified. Personnel qualifying for both Pacific and Burma Stars got the first star and a clasp in respect of the second.

Cover has been cancelled on first day of issue of the Water & Coast stamps 7th May 2000 with Pacific Star Postmark for the 57th Anniversary of The Formation of South East Asia Command.

Cover has been flown in Hercules C Mk3 of 30 Squadron from RAF Lyneham to Pristina on Operation Agricola
