BB13d Battle of Britain - AFC signed Sqn Ldr 'Hawk-Eye' Lee DFC

JS(CC)93d / JS(BB)13d 60th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain cover with artwork by Tony Theobald depicting four Hawker Hurricanes of No 501 Squadron flying in formation and along side the Air Force Cross (AFC) gallantry medal is shown.
The cover bears Royal Mail 17p Lord Dowding / Hawker Hurricane stamp which is shows 'SD-N' cancelled with 60th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain postmark.

Lee was a Battle of Britain pilot who flew with No 501 Squadron, whose aircraft 'SD-N' is depicted on the cover and the stamp. Lee was acreditted with over 8 victories between May and November 1940. Lee was shot down in 1943 and was held as POW in Stalag Luft III at Sagan and Belaria until May 1945.
