Cover depits a Gauntlet, Tutor, Heyford, Hendon and Stranraer aircraft and the RAF badge. It also depicts the badges of Bomber Command, Fighter Command, Coastal Command and Training Command.
Cover bears the Royal Air Force stamps which have been cancelled on first day of issue with BFPS 2114 for the anniversary of the Reorganisation.
Cover has been flown in Lancaster PA474 City of Lincoln of the BBMF from RAF Coningsby to RAF Biggin Hill and then on to West Malling Airfield to participate in the 1986 Warbirds display.

Cover bears facsimile signature of Air Vice Marshal Bennett CB CBE DSO FRAeS as he died shortly before he was due to sign the covers.
