RAF CDR16b RAF Museum cover commemorating MRAF Sir John Grandy, who commanded No 249 Squadron during the Battle of Britain which was the only Fighter Command squadron to receive a Victoria Cross during WWII. Cover shows a picture of himself surrounded by a gold border. The cover bears 26p definitive stamp cancelled with BFPS 2139 postmark for the 70th Anniversary of No 101 Squadron 27 June 1987. The cover has been flown in Vickers VC10 ZA 150 of No 101 Squadron in their 70th Anniversary flypast.

Hand signed by Marshal of the Royal Air Force John Grandy GCB KBE DSO, who was Chief of the Air Staff from 1967 through to 1971.
