JS(CC)70c 60th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain cover signed Wg Cdr Beazley DFC

JS(CC)70c RAF cover for the 60th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain in 2000 with full cover artwork showing Hurricanes of No 32 Squadron and Spitfires of No 74 Squadron engaging Messerschmitt Bf 110s over the Kent coast.

The cover shows the 1939-45 Star Medal with Battle of Britain clasp. The cover bears Guernsey 26p Battle of Britain stamp cancelled with Bahamas spitfire First Day of Issue postmark.

Cover has been flown in Spitfire of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight on a display over Stanford to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain, pilot was Squadron Leader Paul Day
