Cover commemorating events of the Korean War in 1951/52, including the Glosters during the Battle of Imjin River, Meteors of No 27 Squadron attaching North Korean poistions and HMS Ocean

The cover shows the Korea Medal which was awarded to members of the British and Commonwealth Forces who took part in the operations in Korea between July 1950 and 1953.

Cover bears full set of millenium stamps and is cancelled on first day of issue 05.09.00 which was the 49th Anniversary of the Battle of the Imjin River.

Cover was flown in Hercules of 30 Squadron from RAF Lyneham to RAF Aldergrove and return in the course of the Northern Ireland Operation Banner
