Cover depicts Heinkel III Pathfinders of Kampfgruppe acurately marking the Fort Dunlop rubber works near Birmingham on 23rd August 1940. Messerschmitt BF109D of Erprobungsgruppe 210 shot down by 66 Squadron over Aldeburgh and Erprobungsgruppe 210 attacking RAF Manston on 22nd August 1940.

Cover bears 24p defin cancelled with BFPS 2232 for the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

Cover has been flown in Sea King XZ599 of 202 Squadron from RAF Manston over the attack pattern made by ME110s of Erprobungsgruppe 210 on 14th August 1940 when heavy damage and casualties were inflicted on RAF Manston.
