Cover produced for the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. Cover depicts the RAF roundel stating Battle of Britain, the Squadron crest for 1 Squadron and that of 3 Staffel Kampfgeschwader I. Cover also depicts the first attack on London at 16.40 hours, a Messerschmitt BF109 of I/JG 51 which was shot down over London on 7th September 1940 and the London Docks ablaze at 17.00hrs. Cover bears 24p welsh defin cancelled with BFPS 2252 on 50th Anniversary of the First Attack on Berlin on 25th August 1990.

Cover has been flown in Tornado F3 of 111 Squadron in a Fighter Sweep of 4 Tornado's against 8 Harrier GR1s in rememberance of the fighter patrols made by 111 Squadron from Croydon and then Debden during the Battle of Britain.
