JS50/40/5 Fall of France / Sinking of SS Lancastria signed RAF Cover

Cover produced for the 50th Anniversary of the Fall of France. Cover depicts Operation Catapult at Mers El Kebir on July 1st 1940, German troops marching past the Etoile at the head of the Champs Elysees and SS Lancastria sunk by JU87 off St Nazaire on 17th June 1940.

Cover has been flown in Twin-Piper Apache from Biggin Hill to Le Touquet via West Malling and Dover then on to St Valery en Caux and over the area where the French Tenth Army and some British Forces fought a desperate rearguard action from the 10th until the 12th June 1940 when the British 51st Highland Division was captured. Then returned to Biggin Hill via Dover.
