JS50/41/06 Siege of Malta RAF cover signed defenders

Cover produced for the 50th Anniversary of the Siege of Malta. Cover depicts HMS Nelson being torpedoed by a SM79 of the Aerosiluranti, One of Operation Halberds freighters entering the safetyu of Grand Harbour and Luftwaffe and Aeronautica JU87s dive bombing over Malta. Cover bears 20p DSC DSM Gallantry stamp cancelled with BFPS 2275 for the 50th Anniversary of Operation Halberd.

Cover has been flown in Hercules of 30 Squadron from RAF Lyneham to RAF Akrotiri overflying the Island of Malta en route.
