JS(AC)78a / AF22a Airborne Forces operations in Radfan, Borneo and Aden 1964-67 cover

JS(AC)78a RAF cover dual numbered AF22 as part of the Airborne Forces Series. The artwork by Tony Theobald depicts a member of 3 PARA in the mountainous terrain of Radfan in 1964. Inset picture shows HQ 2 PARA in Borneo and along side troops of 2 PARA on Jungle patrol. The bottom inset picture shows members of 1 PARA in Aden preparing for a patrol.

The cover bears 24p Maritime Timekeeper stamp cancelled with BFPS 2369 postmark with the text 'We remember Radfan, Borneo and Aden' dated 21 October 93. The cover has been flown in Tristar ZE704 of No 216 Squadron from RAF Brize Norton to Nairobi via Salalah and returned via Cairo. The cover has been reflown in Tristar ZD 952 of No 216 Squadron from RAF Brize Norton to Brunei via Bahrain and return.
