JS(AC)71a / AF10a 1st Parachute Brigade in Tunisia cover

JS(AC)71a RAF cover dual numbered AF10 as part of the Airborne Forces mini series. Cover commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the 1st Parachute Brigade in Tunisia. The cover artwork shows Douglas Dakota DC-3 from the USAAF 51 Wing US Transport Command dropping paratroops from 3 PARA over Bone Airfield 12 November 1942. Underneath paratroops are shown with a Poat GP and airborne gunners.

Cover bears 24p Welsh definitive stamp cancelled with BFPS 2351 postmark for the 50th Anniversary which bears the Parachute Brigades insignia. Cover was flown in Hercules C130 from RAF Lyneham to RAF Bruggen and then onto Decimonanou and return.
