The Lockheed C-130 Hercules or more affectionately known as the ?Herky? bird is pretty much the mainstay of the RAF?s transport fleet, we have chosen to feature both the common place C-130H model and the new C-130J model, which entered service in 1998. The cover has been flown in a Hercules from RAF Lynheam to Split and then to RAF Bruggen in support of Operation Lodestar.

Hand signed by Air Chief Marshal ACM Sir John Cheshire KBE CB FRAeS RAF, son of ACM Sir Walter Cheshire GBE KCB, and a former Hercules pilot. Also Station Commander of Lyneham (1983-85) and at the time of signing was serving as Commander-in-Chief Allied Forces North West Europe
