JS50/41/04 Battle of Crete RAF cover signed 2 MM winners

Cover produced for the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Crete. Cover depicts German Paratroops descending near Heraklion in May 1941. Also depicted are a German MG34 team supporting the attack on Maleme airfield and Suda bay falling into German Hands. Cover bears 20p Military Cross / Military Medal Gallantry stamp cancelled with BFPS 2264.

Cover has been flown in Hercules XV207 of 30 Squadron on Task 5290 from RAF Lyneham to Suda Bay, Crete and then on to RAF Akrotiri.
